During his artistic studies, Anri Erikanov became fascinated by the research aspect within the arts. He strongly believes in the synergy and mutual reinforcement between research, artistic performance, and teaching. This conviction is the driving force behind his frequent concerts, both as a soloist and in various ensembles, featuring a repertoire that is always diverse, profound, and built on a solid foundation of research.

His master's research (2022-2024) involved transcribing Johann Sebastian Bach's Violin Partita No. 2 for the classical guitar. He had the privilege of developing this research at the prestigious Franz Liszt Academy under the guidance of Marta Abrahám, an expert with a DLA in Baroque rhetoric. This collaboration resulted in a master's thesis where historical performance practices—such as basso continuo, French & Italian dance elements, and rhetoric—formed the basis of a unique artistic interpretation.

This research received significant recognition upon his return to the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp, where he was awarded the Oranjebeurs, an annual prize from the Dutch Consulate-General for a student with exceptional artistic and academic potential. He graduated with high distinction, and this researched repertoire remains a core component of his concert programs to this day.

In the past year, Anri focused on his educational master's degree, studying full-time while working nearly full-time in education. He wrote a second master's thesis on developing multidisciplinary didactic resources, which also earned him a high distinction. While he found great satisfaction in teaching, he missed the artistic practice of performance, which fueled his desire to perform more and further substantiate his own artistic practice.
